Twice a year T4T visits Kenya. In March, the focus is on meeting with the teachers and in October with the head teachers. For these meetings Dutch (head)teachers go to Kenya to work together with their Kenyan counterparts on improving Kenyan education at location near Ukunda, south of Mombasa.

Every year information meetings are organised in the Netherlands for those who are interested to participate in T4T's work. Participants are mainly sent by involved Dutch school boards, but can also be visitors of this website.

Approximately four weeks prior to departure a (mandatory) preparation day is organised where participants learn about Kenyan culture and history, and about the situation in the field and what to expect. Six weeks after the return of the (12-day) trip an evaluation meeting takes place.

The Dutch part of the organisation is in the hands of Mia Mollee and Marianne Kats. The Kenyan part is in the hands of our coordinator in Ukunda, Mr Francis Nzai.

During the year, Mr. Francis Nzai maintains contact with the Kenyan District Education Officers (DEOs), the Zone Education Officers (ZEOs), and the head teachers and teachers of the 320 schools in the three zones of Kwale District, Kinango and Msambweni, all south of Mombasa.
