School Leaders Course (2011-2013)
The aim of this training is to acquire highly qualified head teachers. In this training programme, the main focus is educational leadership. An educational leader is a good manager who stimulates and activates his team - somebody who knows how to convert ideas into plans and how to put this into practice together with the right people.
Twice a year, a group of trainers/coaches travels to Kenya for a period of 10 days. Each one of these coaches will coach two Kenyan head teachers. The programme starts and ends with a theoretical section. During the other days, the Dutch coaches will be present at the head teachers' schools and training will be performed on-the-spot.
March 2011, the final evaluation of this training pilot will take place and the first diplomas will be awarded.
